Ireland’s hard drum crew Flood are about to share their sixth release, this time from label co-founder Tension. Entitled ‘II’, this EP is a collection of brooding tracks which showcase the producers functional-yet-cinematic style, intended to evoke a sense of urban decay through it’s musical narrative.

On the closer of the six-track release, Tension collaborates with French producer Ytem (a producer also known for his ear for the dramatic). ‘Assimilate’ blends slowed tribal drum patters and cyber-punk aesthetics into something that could soundtrack a neon strip club scene in a Blade Runner-esque movie.

FLD006 aka ‘II’ is available from 3th October from Flood records.
