Based in Washington, D.C., the newly surfaced vinyl imprint Blood Frenzy has set out to storm the front of grimy, experimental bass music. Scouring the underground since 2016, the label operators believe the music will do most of the talking for these exciting, emerging artists. Blood Frenzy seeks to showcase syncopated grime breaks flavored with a distinctive sense of sonic exploration that is aptly dancefloor ready. Having kicked off their 12” endeavors last year with a grand debut from Mancunian producer Fallow – the label welcomes another ascending bass music producer out of the UK: Splurt Diablo.

Our pick off the release is b-side ‘Irn Bru’, gently reels the listener back in after the fierce ‘Amped’, with slow and wavering vocal fragments echoing alongside its 808 foundation providing pressure for days. The track is a refreshing demonstration of how melancholic yet weighty 808s can be when used in a different light.

‘Amped / Irn Bru’ will be released on 12″ vinyl May 7th, 2018 with digital following on the 18th.
