Bristol-based duo Rukus are releasing a new EP of hard-hitting 120 tracks at the end of this week. The 3-track, coming out via Articulate Sound, sees the pair move further away from their dancehall-dominant tracks (championed by DJs like Seani B & Toddla T). On ‘Binary EP’ they’ve embraced the flourishing and ever-evolving UK Funky scene & enlisted the likes of Cardinal Sound, Ali McK & IYZ and Daze Prism for remix duties.

EP opener ‘Dust’ is a solid combination of steel drums, delicate vocal inflections & droney FX. It’s one very trippy tribal production that we expect funky/hard drum fans will find enticing to say the least.

‘Binary EP’ is released this Friday (25th Jan).
