Having warmed us up last month with a third instalment of his edit pack series (which you can download for free here), Saint Etienne’s Jesza returns with his debut EP, ‘Club Distortion’. Released via progressive club connoisseurs Pelican Fly, the EP is an intense listen rooted in his interest in feeling, intertextuality and buffering internet glitches.

The EP’s title track is an ever-shifting heater of a song that’s been on repeat since we got the release. The intro builds gradually with incremental layers of percussion before giving way to unrelenting waves of screeching vocal samples and sustained kick drums.

You can grab Jezsa’s ‘Club Distortion’ EP (featuring remixes by the likes of ARME, Jaymie Silk, Nadus & Richelle) from 28th September.
