Illumination Boiz are a trio of Durban based producers making music inspired by the emerging South-African GQOM scene, a genre that is currently gaining widespread recognition and making waves across the UK. The broken down and sparse nature of the genre has grabbed attention from London-based producers, championing it as a truly original sound.

New Gqomu Benuza Wena (featured) is the stand out track of the EP. The opening of the song continuously builds with broken down percussions and vocal samples creating a montage of sound all leading towards to a grabbing breakdown half way through. The track really comes into it’s own, creating a hypnotic effect from the repetitive vocal samples and bass heavy background.

Forthcoming on Hi-NRG (Hi-NRG001) this four track EP has already gained widespread recognition and radio coverage from the likes of Tarquin, Teki Latex, Betty, Holloway, Ikonika, Jasmine Infiniti, Foozool + more.
