eatmybeat’s ‘Bonus Snacks’ series returns next week with their a fourth batch of tracks by young producers exploring the evolving & genre-mixing UK bass sound. Not content just to curate forward-thinking music, the label and party collective is fighting the good fight with all proceeds from this pay-what-you-want compilation going to FoodCycle; a charity aiming to feed the hungry and create community spaces for those experiencing food poverty and social isolation.
‘Keep On’ by EMB resident Ekula is an atmospheric stepper of a track rammed full of bassy textures, synth pads and a LOT of delay effects. The interlocking vocal melody & flute counter-melody are a welcome focal point for listener, deftly cutting through the dense low-end sounds.
Bonus Snacks Vol. 4 is available on eatmybeat’s Bandcamp from 25th February.
