Mannheim-based label Oxyorange will be releasing their second compilation, ‘CATHEXIS’, an impressive 9 months after their debut ‘SWORDS’. The 11-track offering features cuts from WRACK, Avbvrn, Kid Cala, MSTK to name a few.

Label founder Airøn Kølarøw shows us his ear for the dynamic with his contribution, ‘Merc’. The stripped back (and Neptunes-sampling) beat at the beginning gives way to a trancey synth build-up before the two elements merge seamlessly. It’s a great display of measured production; a functional yet cinematic drum-track with no excess fat on it.

‘CATHEXIS’ will be available on 28th January.
